Here is a market update from Truckee and N Tahoe real estate at the end of the 1st Quarter. The market continues to be plagued with very low inventory. This is normally the time of year when things start to ramp up, but there is a lot of clean-up to do after the tumultuous winter. I have never seen the type of widespread damage to trees and limbs brought about by years of drought stress and severe ice from this January. As we move in to late spring, inventory should start to hit the market, but pent-up demand from buyers will see the good and well priced properties continuing to sell very quickly. As such, prices are likely to keep climbing in the short term.
